1 Timothy 2:1-2

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.

Heavenly Father, I pray for all those in positions of authority, that they may lead with integrity and work towards a more peaceful world. I pray for safety and protection for all people especially those in areas of conflict.

Proverbs 28:2

When a country is rebellious, it has many rulers, but a ruler with discernment and knowledge maintains order.

Lord, I pray for our country. I come before you to seek your wisdom and guidance for those in positions of authority. I pray that you grant them discernment and knowledge, enabling them to lead with integrity and justice. Help them to recognize and resist corruption in all its forms and to prioritize the needs of the people they serve. May they be a blessing to our land, guiding us with your wisdom and grace. In Jesus name, Amen.

Lord, I pray that you help us to grow in a love that is patient, kind and not easily angered. May we not be self seeking or boastful, but rather humble and generous. Help us to rejoice in the truth and not in evil. I ask that you strengthen and protect those we love. to trust in your promises, to hope for your return and to endure all things. We also pray for the grace to forgive as you have forgiven us and to live a life that reflects your love and compassion.

Friendship

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who fall alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attached and defeated, but two can stand back to back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

Lord, please give me wisdom to be a good friend to others. Help me to be present, supportive and encouraging. Help me to be an example of the love and grace you have shown me. Guide me to building a strong, healthy relationship with my friends and may I grow ever closer to you.
